What It Does
The QR encodes a upi://pay URI with your UPI ID, payee name, and optional amount. When scanned with any UPI app, the payment screen opens with details pre-filled for instant bank-to-bank transfer.

How to Create a UPI Payment QR Code
- Choose "UPI Payment" type — Open QRMax and select UPI.
- Enter your UPI details — Add your UPI ID (e.g., name@upi), payee name, and optional amount.

Practical Tips
- Set a fixed amount for invoices — Pre-filling the amount prevents underpayment and speeds checkout.
- Leave amount blank for variable payments — Let customers enter the amount for general-purpose payment QRs.
- Display prominently at checkout — Print at least 3x3 inches and place at eye level near the register.
Which UPI apps can scan this?
All NPCI-certified UPI apps including Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay, and bank apps like SBI Pay, iMobile, etc.
Is there a transaction limit?
UPI transaction limits are set by the bank and app, typically Rs. 1,00,000 per transaction for most banks. The QR code itself has no limit.
Can I accept payments from outside India?
UPI is currently limited to Indian bank accounts. For international payments, consider PayPal or cryptocurrency QR codes.
