1. Choose "SMS" type — Open QRMax and select the SMS option.
2. Enter phone number & message — Add the recipient number and your pre-written text.

• Include country code — Use international format (+1, +44, etc.) to ensure global compatibility.
• Keep the message editable — Pre-fill a template but let users add their own details before sending.

Does the user get charged for sending the SMS?

Standard messaging rates apply based on the user's carrier plan. The QR code itself is free to scan.

Can I pre-fill the message but leave the number blank?

No. SMS QR codes require at least a phone number. The message body is optional.

Does it work with iMessage and Android Messages?

Yes. The SMS URI standard is supported by both iOS and Android native messaging apps.
