Practical Tips

  • Crop tightly for better accuracy. If the image contains multiple barcodes and you only need one, crop the image to the relevant barcode area before uploading.
  • Ensure adequate resolution. Blurry or low-resolution images may fail to decode. At minimum, each barcode bar should be at least 2 pixels wide.
  • Decode from PDFs directly. Upload a PDF containing barcodes and the tool will detect and decode them without manual screenshot steps.

Can it decode multiple barcodes in one image?

Yes. The tool scans the entire image and returns data for every barcode it detects, along with the format and position of each one.

What if the barcode cannot be read?

Ensure the image is sharp, well-lit, and not rotated at an extreme angle. Try increasing the image resolution or contrast. Very damaged barcodes may not be decodable.

Can I decode barcodes from a webcam?

The tool works with uploaded images. To scan live, take a photo or screenshot first, then upload it.
