Nagpur Junction (NGP) — Zero Mile Centre of India
Guide to Nagpur Junction — India's geographical center, 8 platforms, orange capital, connecting routes, food, and navigation tips for central India travel.
Nagpur Junction — station code NGP — sits at the geographical center of India, marked by the famous Zero Mile Stone nearby. This location makes Nagpur a natural rail crossroads: the Howrah-Mumbai trunk route passes through here, and branch lines radiate to Hyderabad, Delhi (via Bhopal), and the northeast Vidarbha region.
The station is in central Nagpur, close to the city's historic Sitabuldi area. Nagpur — known as the Orange City for its mandarin oranges — is also the winter capital of Maharashtra and the headquarters of the Nagpur Division of Central Railway.
